You will receive one deeply reported longform story + a curated mix of interesting reads from around the world once a week. The newsletter will be delivered straight to your inbox. Each edition will run around 1,500-2,000 words.

You will receive 50 editions with an annual subscription. The State of Play will take a break for two-week break (either successively or standalone), which means you will not receive the editions for those week(s).

What’s included in a subscription?

Full access to all weekly editions, plus the complete archive of past editions. Free readers can view previews, but only subscribers have access to the full text.

How much does it cost?

₹2,499 per year (+ 18% GST) for subscribers in India
$120 per year for subscribers outside India

Please note: Subscriptions are billed annually and upfront.

Is there a monthly option?

Not at this time. The State of Play is only available on an annual plan.

Do you offer refunds?

No. Subscriptions are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time, which will stop auto-renewal at the end of your current term; however, partial refunds are not available.

Can I buy subscriptions for a group or company?

Yes. Group and corporate subscriptions are available, and pricing depends on the size of your organisation. Please contact me directly to set this up.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Log into your account through the portal link in any newsletter email. You can update payment details, change your plan, or cancel auto-renewal.
